Cemeteries

The property known as the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemeteries is part of the St. Joseph’s Parish, a parish existing under the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of La Crosse and as such is governed by the Bylaws of this Diocese.

St. Joseph Parish has three cemeteries, one right in Stratford one block east of the church on Larch Street. A large altar is located on the south end of the cemetery. On May 29, 1999 a special monument was blessed and dedicated by Arch Bishop Burke to remember the unborn (photo right).

The second cemetery, known as St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine is located one mile north of Stratford. To get there, take Highway 97 North to Equity Road. Cemetery is one half mile West on Equity Road.

The third cemetery, known as St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, is located in the town of MacMillian west of Stratford. To get there, take Highway 153 West to County E, turn south on E. Go 2 miles to Eau Pleine Road. Cemetery is ½ mile west on Eau Pleine Road.
