St. Joseph Sunday School program is held at St. Joseph church during the current Sunday Mass time from October-Christmas with a winter break and runs again February-April. Teachers are volunteers.
Sunday school is open to all children from St. Joseph and St. Andrew Parishes from age 3 as of September 1 through Kindergarten age.
It is designed to support parents in educating their children about the Catholic faith by helping children:
* Develop positive self-concepts; children need to feel good about themselves in order to love others as themselves
* Discover and learn more about the many gifts, talents, and abilities that God has provided
* Increase their knowledge about God and their friendship with Jesus
* Practice Christian actions toward others such as taking turns, listening, helping, caring, sharing, loving, and thanking others
